We had a really relaxing and awesome time in Belize at the end of April. We started out the first 5 nights on Ambergris Caye and did quite a bit of snorkeling, swimming, eating, boating and relaxing. Peter went fly fishing one day and caught a couple of bone fish! The water was beautiful and we enjoyed the resort where we stayed at the Mata Chica. After 5 days on the beach, we packed up and headed into the jungle for some 'luxury camping'. It was smoking hot the first day, over 100 degrees, but we adjusted and set out for exploration at local Mayan Ruins and Caves. We saw quite a bit of nature, including birds like toucans and parrots and a huge Coral snake look-a-like. But our favorite activity in the jungle was chilling out on our porch hammocks. The trip was a much needed week of relaxation, as the day we got back was filled with stress. More on that in the next post... Oh and btw, if you haven't heard, we are pregnant and due October 29th. We're very excited!
